2010 AFCOM Asia Pacific Launch

Orange, CA (February 8, 2010): AFCOM - the Californian based leading world Data Center industry body www.afcom.com has announced plans to expand its Australian/Asia Pacific seminar/conference/training and recruitment activities with the launch of its first official Asia Pacific membership drive, opening chapters in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.

AFCOM has also appointed its first regional Asia Pacific industry public relations consultant, Terry Quinn, principal of specialst ICT services company WordsPLUS.

AFCOM is one of the most respected world authorities in the data center industry with more than 4,000 members and 32 chapters worldwide, now including Australia. This international industry body provides data center professionals with unique networking opportunities and educational forums and resources through its annual Data Center World conferences, award-winning publications, regional chapters, extensive research facilities and the highly
respected industry think-tank the Data Center Institute (DCI) which was formed by AFCOM in 2001. AFCOM CEO Jill Eckhaus said leading Data Center executives from Australia and Asia Pacific will be invited to join the prestigious Data Center Institute this year.

The next international AFCOM Data Center conference is scheduled for Nashville March 7-11 – during which AFCOM’s 2010 Data Center Manager of the Year Award, recognizing outstanding leadership and excellence in the field of data center management, will be presented. The award will include entries from Australia for the first time this year.
