Strategic Directions Group offers assistance to Queensland Government and other key organisations as the rebuild gathers momentum.

Strategic Directions has offered ongoing assistance to the State Government, prominent Councils and other organisations charged with the monumental task of getting the State back on track.  Director Mike Andrea said, "We note with concern the extreme damage caused by the current floods throughout Queensland, and the resulting damage that undoubtedly has been caused to major infrastructure, including IT, Telecommunications and Data Centre facilities throughout the State."

"As a Queensland Company, completely vendor independent, who has worked with a large number of Queensland councils, and with past experience in the design of major telecommunications infrastructure across Queensland – Strategic Directions is in a unique position to provide ongoing, objective advice and guidance to Government, Councils and businesses on all matters relating to IT, Telecommunications and Data Centre disaster recovery", he said.

"Since many of the regional communities have been affected – the rebuilding process will be immense, and we know the relevant Councils  will require a great deal of assistance and advice to return their areas to a normal state. Strategic Directions can help the Government and the Council of Mayors ensure that all money and effort spent on new or replacement IT, Telecommunications or critical regional data centre facilities – yields the best value and most efficient result for each region."

Strategic Directions were the ICT Master Planners for the Internationally acclaimed City of Springfield, in South East Queensland, and has been heavily involved in helping some of the largest councils to establish a digital economy for their regions.  Strategic Directions Group has offered to work with the Queensland and Federal Governments, to help rebuild the ICT Infrastructure across Queensland, put in place future ICT Disaster Recovery Planning and to ensure that accurate data centre site assessments are undertaken to minimise damage in future such disasters.
